Wispy Littles in Meadow

The Drift and Bloom Collection is the inaugural collaboration of Beenanza X Stash. Designed in Burlington, Vermont and hand block printed in Bagru, India.
Wispy Littles: This set of blooms has been around in one form or another since the early days of Beenanza. Bethany remembers sitting at a coffee shop with her copy of “The Golden Age of Botanical Art” by Martyn Rix drooling over the illustrations feeling inspired to create her own interwoven flower ditty.
Drift and Boom is available in two colorways and two prints for countless opportunities to mix and match. The organic cotton base, also woven in India, is lightweight with a tight weave. It has a soft hand especially after washing.
This exclusive collection was produced in a small batch.
Not fully opaque.
Roll: 44"
Weight: 3.6oz. - lightweight
Variation in print and fading over time are part of the beauty of this hand-crafted textile. Some color transfer to skin or lighter fabrics may occur before the first few washes. To preserve its character, wash in cold water with gentle detergent.

Meet our makers: Abby and Meg

Meet Meg and Abby
When Bethany and I first began work on the Drift & Bloom Collection we were so excited that we immediately reached out to our two friends Meg and Abby asking them to collaborate as makers and models. Keep in mind this was over a year ago, since then they have both been our patient cheerleaders as they waited for the fabric to arrive! Allow me to introduce them.

Meet Abby
Abby started Abby Huston Designs in 2019 and makes vintage-inspired women’s clothing from natural fibers and vintage textiles here in Burlington Vermont. She also sells pdf sewing patterns, offers private sewing lessons and clothing alterations at her studio located above shop KISH. She can be found on instagram as @abby_sews.
What Abby Made:
Abby made a version of her own design the Jane Dress (co-created with Taree Marsh). She made the following modifications:
- Add a small slit in the center front 2” deep and finished with bias self fabric.
- Add wider straps that button in back. Straps are 1.5” wide finished, so cut
two 3.5” wide straps. - Add a buttonhole to the end of the strap once you try it on and determine desired strap length. Sew button to back of bodice strip.
- Widen and lengthen the bodice strip. Bodice depth is 2.5” when finished so cut two 5.5” x 59” long pieces of fabric if you want to make the ties that are long enough for the dramatic bow in front.
