Sharpen your fabric shears:

Tip: Do not try to sharpen shears yourself. Every manufacturer has a unique blade angle which changes over the length of the blade. It is difficult to execute this without training. Most manufacturers offer a mail-away sharpening service for their products, check with your brand.
Oil your shears: LDH Scissors (don't overdue it!)
Textile Recycling: The Williston Goodwill accepts fabric scraps for the purpose of recycling. If you want to donate your fabric scraps please bag them separately from any clothes or other items you are donating and label it as fabric scraps.
