How do you learn to sew? It’s a question that sparks countless friendships in sewing circles. Whether it’s tracing Burda patterns, repurposing vintage designs, matching nightgowns made from checkered fabric, or learning from a grandmother’s knitted socks and an auntie’s handmade coat—our sewing stories shape who we are as makers.

TAUKO No.15 explores the roots of sewing, blending nostalgic memories with the endless possibilities of modern tutorials and online learning. This summer issue is filled with beautifully designed dresses, trousers, and shirts, each reflecting the unique journey of its creator and the inspirations that first brought them to sewing.

TAUKO is an award winning independent print publication for home sewists around the world. The vast horizon of crafts, culture and climate is featured in sewing patterns, interviews, columns, articles, tips and recommendations by international contributors.
