Not all sewing tools are essential, however a seam roll is.  This pressing tool can fit in a narrow sleeve or pant leg to press your seams.  Filled with a dense wool dust, seam rolls help to pull the heat and steam from your pressed seams.  Seam allowances will not be visible on the right side of fabric when using a seam roll.
