Cotton Waffle - Sewing Tips
Wash and dry fabric before cutting.
Consider using a walking foot, this is a thick fabric and can be challenging to feed through your machine. Frequent pinning will also help to keep fabric from slipping.
Use a sew-in interfacing, the 3-dimensional surface of this fabric prevents a fusible interfacing from adhering well to the fabric.
When pressing seams be mindful that the the fabric will flatten and spread.
This fabric naturally wants to fold along its grid, if you can lean into that at the hem and sleeve cuffs.
