Scrap Busting with Improv Quilting
Couldn't load pickup availability
Class description: Improvisational quilting is quilting for fun. No rules, patterns or measuring. We'll make small quilts together that are whimsical, spontaneous and wonky.
This class is open to any and all skill levels. Absolute beginners will learn how to sew two pieces of fabric together and go from there. Experts will be asked to set aside everything they know about traditional quilting. Everyone will participate fully in the joy of quilting and leave with a finished wall hanging. (You should know how to turn on and thread your sewing machine before arriving at this class).
Bring your sewing machine, plenty of thread, scissors and a bag of fabric scraps. Consider bringing extra scraps to share with other class participants as well. Any type of fabric can be included in an improvisational quilt, it doesn't need to be quilting fabric.
