Intro to Sewing: February 21st and February 28th

Class description: Welcome to Intro to Sewing, this two session course is for the absolute beginner. We will cover the fundamentals of operating a sewing machine including threading the machine, understanding the various stitch options and settings, needle types and feeding fabric through your machine.
In this course you will sew a simple market tote bag, this project will teach you how to cut and prepare fabric for sewing and how to follow pattern instructions.

Length: 2 classes - 2.5 hours
February 21st and February 28th: 6:00pm to 8:30pm
Cost: $100, cancellations must be done 72 hours in advance.
Level: Absolute Beginner
Age: 14 and up
Class size: 4 students. Minimum capacity of 3 students is required, if this is not met refunds will be provided.
What you will need to bring:
- Your own sewing machine in working order and the manual (be sure to include the foot pedal, presser foot attachments, an empty bobbin and power cords)
- 1 yard of fabric - pre-washed. We recommend the Essex Cotton Linen Collection.
- All-Sew polyester thread
- Sewing machine needles - universal
